Costa Mesa Ayres Hotel Wedding

I love, love, love this couple!! They are just the sweetest and I now consider them good friends. This post is the wedding of Mika and Jesse at the Ayres Hotel in Costa Mesa. I absolutely loved this venue and the weather, which was a partly sunny day! Usually Orange County by this time is hot and gross, but this day it was absolutely perfect. Like mother nature wanted these two to be wed. The whole day, they always made sure everyone was taken care of (including me) which I really respect. It can be hard and stressful the day of your own wedding, but Mika kept her cool with everything. Jesse went along with the flow but had a grand old time doing it! I really enjoyed shooting their wedding and I wish they could get married all over again just so I can shoot it again!!

A little back story on the featured couple, this is so sweet and straight out of a love film: Jesse was at the gym when he noticed the cute new girl training in the kickboxing room. He had butterflies but knew he can to talk to her. He used his martial arts skills to repeatedly kick the punching bag. Well it worked, she noticed. They locked eyes. She smiled. He smiled back. For weeks after, he started attending kickboxing several hours earlier than his scheduled practice. Each day he hoped to see the girl he had been admiring . Jesse finished class one day and saw Mika sitting on the benches alone. He took the dive and decided to talk to her.

He introduced himself and started making small talk about training. They spoke briefly but made enough of an impression to continue the conversation via Instagram. They set up a date outside of the gym at the local bar for drinks. Jesse arrived at the bar first, not knowing if she wouldn’t show. Mika, dressed in black pants and matching leather jacket walked in looking stunning. They each got drinks and were instantly mesmerized with each other.
Once the night had come to a close, he walked her to her car. They shared a kiss which had him grinning from cheek to cheek and floating on cloud 9. The rest is history!

Mika had a special first look for her wedding. This is her brother Angel who she had not seen in over 10 years, get ready for the tears because i definitely choked up!
